Designing for SEND provision has more considerations that designers need to make when creating an environment for students with different learning requirements. From creating positive, nurturing environments that help create a sense of calm to allow students to manage their emotions more easily to considering the easy transition from inside to out to allow many aspects of the syllabus to be taught in multiple ways outdoors.   This discussion will cover the following aspects:

  • Engagement with the School’s community
  • Learning Spaces Layouts
  • Connection with the outdoors
